Pilgrimage: A Weekly Lenten Study

2021-03-11 12:00 2021-03-11 18:00 America/Halifax Pilgrimage: A Weekly Lenten Study

Our Lenten pilgrimage is upon us. Beginning Sunday, February 21, let us come together online to further discover and grow in our faith through the study of scripture, prayer, and spiritual practices. John Wesley, the father of Methodism, presented to us a most excellent way to live out our faith individually and in the community, his naming of spiritual practices is referred to as Means of Grace. The hope and prayer are that we join in this journey with joyful expectation that God will greet us with riveting revelation, a revelation that will lead us to a repentant heart and a longing desire to become more reflective of Christ’s presences in our lives and ever more committed to becoming more like Christ. Join us as we grow deeper in our understanding of the theology and spirituality of why Christians recognize this season called Lent. Each Sunday during Lent, we will provide a weekly guide that invites you to reengage the Sunday’s sermon and scripture. Each Thursday, you are invited to join on Zoom or Facebook Live at 6:30 pm for a time of sharing and learning various expressions and methods of prayer. We will explore the means of grace which is inclusive of spiritual disciplines. This promises to be a joyful time filled with adventure guided by the Holy Spirit.
