The Music and Community Arts Ministries are comprised of Christians of all ages, whose members express their faith through music and other arts in both regular Sunday worship services and special services and concerts throughout the year.

There are a variety of ways you can participate in the area of Music and Community Arts at Christ Church. Please explore our various ministry groups and decide how you want to get involved. Prior music experience is not necessary; we will teach the willing!

Adult Choirs

Singing is scientifically proven to be one of the healthiest things you can do. Singing is also one of the ways in which we are invited to join in God’s redemptive work in the world. The hymn writer Mel Bringle puts it this way: Sing a new world into being, sound a bold and hopeful theme. Find a tune for silent yearnings, lend your voice and dare to dream.

Festival Choir

If you love to sing and would dare to dream of God’s reign on earth as in heaven, then come and lend your voice with others as a part of the Festival Choir. This group of adult singers provides musical leadership in the 10:30 am Festival service. There is no audition or previous experience required as the choir is open to adults of all abilities

Director: DeAndre Johnson

Rehearses: Every Wednesday from 7-9pm in the Choir Room.

If you or someone you know is interested in helping to lead contemporary worship, please contact our Director of Contemporary worship, GT Mangum at to set up a meeting.

Instrumental Ensembles

Psalm 150 encourages every instrument – trumpet, harp, tambourine, dancing, percussion, strings, pipe, cymbals, etc. – to praise God with joy! In other words, there is a place for you to find your instrument and join in worship with us!

Christ Church Ringers

This handbell choir welcomes both beginning and experienced ringers; a working knowledge of music is helpful but not necessary.

Do you play a band or orchestral instrument? In Psalm 150, the psalmist declares that every instrument – trumpets and flutes, stringed instruments and percussion – should praise the Lord “for his acts of power and surpassing greatness”. We are looking for people to play from time to time in worship services and for special events.
